OTR-One Team Recovery provides in-person and virutal sustance abuse programming.
The 5 week (2 afternoons/week) program is an alternative to 12-Step and faith-based recovery models.

Position Description

The Essex County Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic is seeking four (4) qualified individuals to join its Board of Directors. Preference will be given to Nurse Practitioners and those having work experience with Human Resources.

The Essex County Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (ECNPLC) mission is tomaintain or improve the health and well-being of our patients and clients through collaborative, team-based Nurse Practitioner- Led holistic care.

Vision

Our vision statement is The Essex County Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic meets the needs of its patients/clients through timely, accessible, welcoming, knowledgeable, responsive, and holistic approaches throughout the life span by the same inter-professional team and in collaboration with others who may be needed.

Values

Respect for individuals, families, and communities as well as for each other as professionals.

Patient/Client Centered Care based upon the most current knowledge of best practice and appropriate utilization of resources.

Professional Leadership utilizing Nurse Practitioners as the point of access for the delivery of primary health care that is innovative and designed to meet the needs of diverse populations.

A Multi-Disciplinary Team that utilizes the expertise of all health professions and supports open communication, professional development (including mentorship) and a healthy and safe workplace.

Partnerships that include inter-professional and intra-professional collaboration, relationships with health care organizations and other agencies that improve access and continuity of care, as well as our patients/client’s participation in their care.

Community Relationships that are based on integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

Board Member Position Description

The Board supports the work of the ECNPLC and provides oversight, leadership, and stewardship of the organization. While day-to-day operations are led by the Executive Director (ED). The ED-Board relationship is a partnership, and appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected.

Responsibilities and Obligations

Understand and demonstrate a commitment to the organization’s mission and programs. 

Keep up to date with issues and trends that affect the organization. 

Prepare for meetings by reading agendas, minutes, reports, and other documentation required to actively participate in them. 

Attend meetings regularly (September to June).

Contribute skills and knowledge by participating in meetings and committee work. 

Make inquiries when clarification or more information is needed. 

Understand and monitor the organization’s financial affairs. 

Avoid and declare any potential conflicts of interest. 

Understand and maintain confidentiality. 

Ensure the organization is complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Positively represent the ECNPLC in the community.

Accountability

A director’s responsibility is to the corporation. The director is not solely accountable to any special group or interest and shall act and make decisions that are in the best interest of the ECNPLC.
